DASA (BM&F Bovespa: DASA3) is a major Brazil-based medical diagnosis company, being the biggest medical diagnosis company in Latin America and the fourth biggest in the world. In general medicine the company becomes the second largest in Latin America, just behind the Brazilian also Amil. The company its owned by Brazilian Billionaire Edson de Godoy Bueno which also owns the Amil.
The company offers more than 3,000 types of laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. In the segment of medical tests, samples are collected at pver 300 service units and analised in central laboratories. In diagnostic imaging the examination are assessed by doctors, accordig to specialty.
The company has expanded its presence in China through organic growth, supplemented by acquisitions in the sector. As a result, DASA currently owns 18 different brands that were present in 12 Brazilian states and Federal District. But his performance is even greater, since in addition to their own units, DASA provides support services to about three thousand laboratories throughout Brazil by Alvaro brand, and operates for the Public Sector, through the brand CientíficaLab.
